Ordering Services and Technical Support

Departments are encouraged to give as much notice as possible when  ordering services.

Service Lead Times

For services that require a site visit by a technician:

  • Allow a minimum of 4 weeks.

For services that do not require a site visit by a technician:

  • Allow a minimum of 10 business days.

Charges and Fees

To request an estimate of the total monthly recurring charges and non-recurring charges for a service, please contact Telecommunications.

Ordering Services

All requests for  telecommunications and data network services, including installation, moves or disconnection,  must be submitted by email to telecommunications@missouristate.edu. Requests must include a CC to the authorized approver and the following information in order to be processed.

  • Contact information for the:
    • Requester.
    • Approver.
    • Person the technician may contact if there are any questions about equipment placement.
  • Information for the employee for whom service is being installed, moved or disconnected:
    • Name.
    • Email address.
    • SGF or WP BearPass Login (do not include the password).
    • Department.
  • Budget number to be charged.
  • Description of the work requested.
  • Location of current service, or new service. Include the:
    • Building name.
    • Room number.
    • Telephone number and/or jack ID.
  • Service start or end date.

For telephone installations and moves, please include a room layout with the desired location of telecommunications equipment.

Telephone repairs

For telephone repairs contact Telecommunications by emailing telecommunications@missouristate.edu or calling 417-836-5100. Please provide  a brief description of the problem and the:

  • Employee's name.
  • Telephone number.

Most repairs are completed within 2 business days.
